NCA Write Path 3 Girls

It felt like only yesterday when Noah and I were walking home down the stone path. We were talking about school and our mean maths teacher, Sir Cumference, who gave us so much homework we never had any time to ourselves. At one point I remember Noah wished that the school and all the homework would just vanish into thin air. He had no idea how his wish would come true.

Above us a crooked branch hung like a sword to a neck. All of a sudden the Earth shook, and shattered the ground into a million pieces. Sticks and stones flew through the air. We tried to run but the ground swallowed me up. I tried to scream for Noah but nothing came out. I felt light headed as the world spiralled away into blackness.

By the time I woke up Noah was nowhere to be seen. I thought I could hear his voice bouncing off the trees but nothing seemed certain right now.

  1. A deserted street lay before me with a dull grey house. It looked like a school. Banners wrapped it like a parcel they said things like ‘out of bounds’ and ‘keep out’. Nothing looked like an alien world or strange spooky stuff like you saw on telly it was just a plain, grey street.it was too grey and familiar , as I took it all in I noticed something terrible , it was the street I was walking on with Noah just before the floor opened up! I looked at the old Newsagent Shop, all that was in it was an old, coffee stained newspaper. The front line read ‘School Banned’. Just below was a picture of our mate he was eating ice-cream and was too fat to walk. I carried on walking but before I got to the end of the street a peculiar man appeared from around the corner. He was sitting in a pram being pushed by another man. They came to the bottom of the steel hill and the pram didn’t move anymore. It was stuck! I ran forward to help but before I was even near him I noticed something terrible, it was Noah! He was so fat it was hard to see his little legs sitting on a moving leg rest. I snuck away back to a tree to watch the rest of the scene. Soon, another fat lady came down the hill, she was an ugly, ragged troll. I guessed she was too fat to fit in an XXXXXL but soon the grin was wiped off my face and my legs rooted to the spot…it was me!
